One of the most common questions I get asked as a chiropractor is, “How many visits will I need?” And the honest answer is: It depends. Not just on your condition, but on you.
There’s a Science… and There’s an Art
Sure, there’s science involved — anatomy, biomechanics, nerve function — but the real magic happens in the art of chiropractic.
I’ve been practicing that art for nearly 23 years. That means when you walk into my office, I’m not just looking at your spine. I’m seeing the whole picture:
Your specific condition
Your age, lifestyle, and daily habits
Your posture, activity level, and stress load
Your mindset and your health goals
Why Frequency Matters
Think of your care plan like getting a plane off the ground. If we don’t have enough momentum (aka frequent enough visits at the start), the “plane” can’t take off. But if we go too fast or too often, your body doesn’t have enough time to process the adjustments. There’s a sweet spot. And my job is to find it — and adjust it as we go. Finding that balance is part of the art of chiropractic.
It’s Not Cookie Cutter Care
Some people need more support at the beginning. Others bounce back quickly. Sometimes we need to re-evaluate and shift gears. And that’s okay. My goal is never just to get you out of pain — it’s to help your body stay well, adapt better to life, and give you tools to support your own healing.
